Welcome to Pakuranga Intermediate School. We are very proud of our school, learners, teachers and staff, and we look forward to sharing a little about ourselves.
At Pakuranga Intermediate, the foundation of our learning is positive relationships where children and staff show pride, respect, and caring to create a friendly yet challenging environment.

We are delighted to launch our new communication and reporting system, Hero: an online sharing platform with a complementary smart app.
Hero allows schools to customise an online environment that enables teachers, students, and families to view and share content anytime, anywhere on any device. The software is secure, easy to use and brings together all school-related information in one place. With Hero, you have the ability to:
Learning posts combined with curriculum information and goal-setting will form an online report that is designed to build year-on-year. Over time, you will have access to written posts, images, video, work samples, and helpful resources all in one place. Over the coming year, staff and students will be posting content to our Hero software. We are looking forward to sharing this with you, including you in your child’s learning journey.

A final reminder that school is closed next Tuesday 3rd June for a Teacher Only Day.
Monday is also a public holiday- King's Birthday.
Please remember to check the school website or the calendar in Hero for upcoming events.

A reminder that school is closed on Tuesday 3rd June for our Teacher only day. Staff will be participating in professional learning and the school will be closed to students.
We also have two public holidays this term, Monday 2nd June and Friday 20th June.
Lastly a reminder that our next set of parent conferences are on Wednesday 25th June and we will send out more details about booking closer to the time. Students will only attend school that day for their conference and will be learning from home.

We have already finished one week of a busy term two. While there are many events this term, please take note of the upcoming events that affect the whole school.
· 15th May: Pink Shirt Day.
Mufti day and shared lunch with students encouraged to bring food to represent themselves or their culture.
· 26th May: Class Photos
· 2nd June: King’s Birthday holiday- school closed
· 3rd June: Teacher only Day
School closed for students, teacher undertaking professional development on the new curriculum.
· 20th June: Matariki – School closed
· 25th June: Science Fair and Conferences
All student science fair boards are displayed in the hall and students and whānau come in to school only for their conference time.
Boards are now available for sale from the school office for $10
